Ben Hernstrom grew up in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, a crumbling steel town outside of Pittsburgh. He makes experimental narratives, documentaries and installations. His works have been exhibited in galleries and museums such as the Andy Warhol Museum, the Mattress Factory, and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts among others. He has screened works in Scandinavia, in domestic and European festivals and on television.
